Working across media my research-led, trans-disciplinary art practice has at its core concepts of landscape and place. I consider these as fluid processes born from the interweaving of human activity and more-than-human forces. Through my work I question landscape dynamics, raise awareness of complexities and interactions, and invite people to think differently about their environments. I use research, social engagement (workshops, walks, conversation, etc.) and site visits (sitting, walking, running, cycling, etc.) to gain an understanding of a place or landscape and its people. I work in a context-specific way, tailoring my approach to each project, frequently using mapping, text, spoken word and sound as modes of engagement and sharing.
